There are solutions I consider to be the more interesting solutions with which I have played a role. The reasons vary from the value added, problem solved, affinity for the project team, or overall cool technology factor. The client specific information has been excluded in order to protect their privacy except for cases where there are publicly accessible case studies at which point I'll shamelessly promote.
The Learning Connection
I was fortunate to be the solution architect working with a State Department of Education to envision, design, build and launch The Learning Connection. It is a tool for teachers within the State focused on providing data, resources, and tools to help support student achievement.

Social Networking Solution
Collaborated with NFL team to help architect, design, and construct a social networking site in order to help fans feel more of a connection to the team. There is a case study available from Microsoft on the project. Case Study:

Dynamic Question Engine
Repackaging intellectual property used in other systems in order to create a platform for managed data collection combined with technology assisted output generation to provide consistent, expertise driven outcomes. Ultimately used at the heart of several risk assessment processes along with to support a non-for-profit tax filing process.
E-Commerce Modernization
Lead efforts to help a global hardware retailer and distribution company modernize their E-Commerce solution. Built a platform to support their member store channel and allow the site to carry branding specific to the member store. The site has easily supported several million dollars in sales per year and was very affordable for the client. The solution has been in place for over four years with incremental improvements taking place each year.
Student Data Collection System
Architected, designed, and built a foundational system used by a state agency to collect student level data for aggregation and reporting. Collects the data necessary to feed a longitudinal data system to help measure achievement. The solution has been in place for over seven years and is still proving reliable, flexible, and adaptable today.

Lead the efforts to architect and build a solution based on a client concept for driving additional traffic to their website and further building on their brand.
